Dear Voter,
Thank you for visiting my website.  I’m John Allen, former State Representative and I would like to explain why I am running for Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), discuss some of the major issues facing the state, and let you know what you can do to help.

The ACC, as you probably know, is a constitutionally mandated board that oversees utility rates, ensures the integrity of investment grade securities and is the gatekeeper to Corporation and LLC formation and reporting.  The Commission functions both in an executive and judicial capacity, making industry rules and settling disputes.  It is important that we get members that can protect the ratepayer and the rights of the subject businesses to preserve their shareholders interests.

Why am I running?  After a year out of public service, I still feel that I have much to offer.  During my time in the legislature, I have developed skills that would serve voters well in the ACC.  With three of the five seats up for election, we (Republicans) need to keep control of the Commission.  I have the time and political experience to get elected and serve your interests well.

Arizona is one of the fastest growing states in the nation, so we have many infrastructure and capital investment issues.  We also have the fastest growing population of residents on fixed incomes in the country and the need for controlling upward pressure on utility rates.  These diverse interests can only be met with thoughtful leadership.

We have qualified for our Clean Elections funding thanks to the strong support of people like you. The signs are going up and the primary is just a few short weeks away. I appreciate your vote and your support.
